Customized Zoids constructed by "kitbashing" several Zoids together is one of the best ways for a Zoider to showcase his creativity. I have revamped this page to showcase the works of those who do this.
First up is Furball, from Hong Kong. On August 25, 2000 he sent me these images with the following note.
Here is my first customized Zoids, Death Dragon.

Death Dragon is the 4th members of the death saurer series, death

saurer, death saurer MKII, death dog(MKIII), DD (MKIV) and the death

knight(coming soon)... Basically it is the modified death dog.

I ve used 2 weeks times to built it for the Zoids customization

competition in HK... and it became one of the winning Zoids.

Its composed if death saurer, storm sworder, cannon tortose, iguan,

back pack of IK MKII and a marble. coz of the small wings of storm

sworder, i ve to make another pair my self. I ve been trying to keep

it "smooth" as thats the style of the empire. The marble on its chest

is the 2nd generation of charged particle cannon of death saurer...

and how does it work? its classified.

It can walk, its mouth can open and close, the wings can swing and

the lights will grow. Coz i ve a deadline to meet, i can't make its

tail move.

I would like to remind those of u want to customize deathsaurer...

especially... the electric component... There is a "FUSE" in its

engine.

The following images are from a Japanese hobby magazine printed in 1988, and were sent to me by Itsuki.
[Centaur]

Centaur

This is one amazing Zoid, which Itsuki informs me the magazine dubbed the true "King of the Zoids.". They combined Gojulas, Ultrasaurus, Gorudos and Saramanda into a truely awesome Zoid. Itsuki is close to finishing his own version.
[Deathbird]

Deathbird

In many ways I like it better then the Centaur. It has a real military look to it. Like Furball's Zoid, it is composed of Deathsaurer, with custom parts added.
[Deathdog?]

Deathdog

This is the Deathdog Furball mentions in his note, and another variation of Deathsaurer.
